Jackie Young Watts Open-air Museum
The Lincolnville Historical Society's open-air museum was built in the summer of 2013 to display historical items such as fishing boats, ice cutting tools, lime industry artifacts, and large agricultural implements that depict the life of Lincolnville residents in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It is open for viewing in the spring, summer and fall.Upcoming Free Events
Mystery author, Matthew Cost, reads from his newest novel, Pirate Trap, a Clay Wolfe/ Port Essex Mystery, on May 8th at 6:30. This program will be in-person only. Book signings and refreshments will follow.
Lincolnville Artist, Ken Cleaves, will speak about his Schleppinghurst Garden as well as his unique art currently on display at Lincolnville Library, on Wednesday, May 15 at 6:30 at Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main Street, Lincolnville. Cleaves’s presentation will include a video tour of the garden and a discussion of his forty-year process to create the garden’s Japanese-inspired character. Cleaves built his extensive land and hardscape garden on the several acres surrounding the house he built on his 30 acre woodland.
